‘America to Zanzibar’ at Please Touch Museum

The Please Touch Museum welcomes a new special exhibit, “America to Zanzibar: Muslim Cultures Near and Far,” which allows families to learn about Muslim culture around the world through interactive displays, artifacts, and more. See our preview here!

African-American History Month at the National Constitution Center

Through February 28

Throughout February, the Constitution Center will host a variety of programs in honor of African-American History Month. There will be an interactive show called “Breaking Barriers,” which highlights Thurgood Marshall, Bessie Coleman, Jackie Robinson, and other groundbreaking African-Americans throughout history, the struggles they faced, and the rights they secured for all citizens. You can also pick up a flyer at check-in to take a self-guided museum tour highlighting important moments in African-American history. Visitors can also test their knowledge of African-American history at the Constitution Center’s giant game board activity.

Part art installation, part virtual reality, Swing is a free and interactive experience that blends cutting-edge technology and imaginative designs. For ages 10 and up.

Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest

Come to skate, come to party in the cabins, come for the fun and food. This rink is a Philadelphia favorite for a reason. This year, it will be celebrating its 25th anniversary, and has lots of fun events planned throughout the season– read all about it in our preview!

‘Hamilton Was Here: Rising Up in Revolutionary Philadelphia’

Through March 17; 1 – 5 pm on weekdays, 10 am–5 pm on weekends

This new exhibit is highly interactive, incorporating games, group activities, dress up, thought-provoking questions, and much more to highlight Alexander Hamilton’s major accomplishments and Philadelphia connections. Read all about it in our preview.

‘Hamilton: The Constitutional Clashes That Shaped a Nation’

Through December 31

This exhibit focuses on the intellectual and political conflicts between Hamilton and his contemporaries, including Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and John Adams, and of course, Aaron Burr (that one was a bit more personal).

Winter in Dilworth Park: Rothman Rink and Wintergarden

Skate on the Rothman Rink in the shadow of City Hall and run through the fantastical Wintergarden Maze! Warm up in the Cabin with some snacks and cocoa after!

‘Vikings: Beyond the Legend’ at the Franklin Institute
