Middle School Open House at The Waldorf School of Philadelphia
The Waldorf School of Philadelphia offers a comprehensive liberal arts education – in middle school. It’s an uncompromising foundation that will serve your child lifelong; in ninth grade opening doors for admission to Philadelphia’s top tier public and private schools, and providing the gift of a lifetime.
We pride ourselves on our ability to deliver an authentic Waldorf experience in a contemporary context. Take for example our middle school Cyber Civics curriculum, which begins in 6th grade when we introduce the digital world in a developmentally appropriate way focusing on the social and behavioral skills vital to participation in the digital world. Developed by a media psychology and social change expert, we begin the curriculum with Digital Citizenship which includes ideas and resources for family participation.
Parents and prospective students are invited to visit the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade classrooms during a school day. Observe these classes in session and join 8th grade students for an informal discussion to learn what it means to be a Waldorf student.
