Snap One-of-a-Kind Holiday Pictures at Photo Pop’s Winter Wonderland

Whether you’re looking for a sweet, traditional scene or an offbeat Philly jawn, your holiday cards are going to rock this year.

All your holiday dreams are coming true because Photo Pop Philly is back for a special Winter Wonderland from November 15 through January 5. Like its previous iteration, you can find Photo Pop in its new Bourse location, but unlike this summer’s Sweet Paradise theme, you’ll be greeted this time around with snow, sleigh rides, and all things festive!

More than 15 local artists have lent their talents to create over 30 installations and murals just waiting for you to pose and take some memorable holiday photos! Consider your cards done this year, because you will definitely want to bring the family! Here are just some of the amazing tableaux and experiences you can expect:

We loved the giant pile of presents (that kids can climb up!) next to the Philly Special tree by artist Khalid Dennis (aka BKLvisions)—because whose Yuletide sentiments don’t include Rocky and wooder ice? Little nooks and walls are adorned with presents and ornaments throughout the exhibit as well, to add lots of color to your shots.

You’ll also find dreamlike snowy scenes worthy of Queen Elsa, including Northern Lights by Tori Alexandra, and a glittery wonderland complete with a disco ball deer by Justine Giordano.

And if you love a good Beyoncé-based pun, take a ride on the “Sleigh All Day” installation. We also saw hints of Kwanzaa and Hanukkah represented through murals and installations, including a gigantic blue dreidel!

Of course, it’s not a proper Philly holiday without our beloved sports teams, so you’ll find little nods to that as well. Seper Torcasio contributes an Eagles-influenced “Believe” throne, while the Phillies are contributing a special mystery installation that even we couldn’t get the full details on (but stay tuned for the exciting news!).

You can also look forward to two special Virtual Reality experiences created by artist Andrew Stapp. And travel down the hall of lights to a back room of presents and a New Year’s Eve themed experience. Whether you’re looking for a sweet, traditional scene or an offbeat Philly jawn, your holiday cards are going to rock this year.

Photo Pop is located in The Bourse, at 111 S. Independence Mall East in the heart of Old City, Philadelphia. The exhibit runs from November 15 through January 5; it is open from noon—8 pm on Wednesdays through Saturdays, and noon—6 pm on Sundays). Tickets are available online, and cost $20 for adults and $12 for kids under 12. Kids age 5 and under are free and do not require a ticket. For opening week, tickets are discounted to $15 for adults and $10 for kids—regular pricing kicks in on November 23. The tickets are sold in time slots, and while you can buy them at the door if available it is recommended that you buy your ticket in advance online so you can secure your desired time.
