Presidents Day Break Camps in Philly

Working February 17? Your kids will love one of these camps.

If your kids have off for Presidents Day but you have to work, you’re in luck: lots of places around town are offering one-day break camps sure to entertain kids of all ages and interests!

 

Arden Theatre Co.

February 17, 9 am — 5 pm
Grades K-5
Hamilton Family Arts Center, 62 N. Second St.

 

At Arden Drama School, kids can participate in a “Play in a Day” workshop, where they work together to create an original play. The full day is $75.

Philly Art Center

February 14 and 17, 9 am — 3 pm (half day and extended care optional)
Ages 5 — 12
514 Bainbridge St. (Queen Village) or 2333 Fairmount Ave. (Fairmount)

 

Kids can spend the day in the studio at Philly Art Center’s Queen Village and Fairmount locations. Age groups are split up and guided by teachers who structure creative playtime where kids can draw, build, collage, paint, and more. Sign up for one day (full or half) or any combination of days. Full day is $80, while a half day starts at noon and costs $40.

Phield House

February 17, 9 am–3 pm (half days available)

Grades K-8

Kids will have a fun-filled day of games and sports. Prices are $30 per half day (morning or afternoon), and $50 for each full day.

Flip Out Productions

February 17, 9 am — 3 pm (half day available for ages 3-5)

Ages 4-14 (or Ages 3-5 for half-day)

A day full of gymnastics, dance, strength and flexibility, arts and crafts, and more. Half day for ages 3-5 runs from 9 am to noon, and is $40 per day. Full day is $60 per day.

Philadelphia Rock Gyms

February 17, 9 am — 3 pm (half day and extended care available)
Ages 4 and up

Switch up your child’s sitting at a desk all day routine to climbing walls! Kids will spend the day learning bouldering and top rope skills, while also strengthening their problem solving, communication, and teamwork. Kids will also do team building exercises, arts and crafts, and even yoga to help with balance and body positioning. Choose from full day for $80 or half day til noon for $45. Extended care is also available for an additional $10 an hour. Philadelphia Rock Gyms have seasonal camps at all of their locations in the area, so check out their website for all the options.

The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education

February 17, 8 am — 3 pm
Ages 5 — 12

Turn your kids’ days off into an adventure! Kids will become “Animal Detectives,” and learn how to identify tracks of different native animals, and how to interpret track patterns. Cost is $70 per day (member discounts apply), and extended day until 6 pm is available for an additional $20.

NLArts

February 17, 8:30 am–3:30 pm

Ages 4–14

Kids can collaborate on creative and fun-filled arts projects, plus outdoor play if weather permits. Cost is $50 for full day.

Butcher’s Sew Shop

February 17, 9 am–3 pm (extended care optional)

Ages 6-11

800 S. Eighth St.

 

Kids can explore the art of sewing in innovative ways using hand and machine projects. No sewing experience necessary. Camp is $95, with extended care an additional cost.
