Wells Fargo Center Nursing Pod Now Open

Ditch the bathroom and try out this self-contained room for breastfeeding privacy.

The Wells Fargo Center now features a Mamava nursing suite — the first professional sports facility in Pennsylvania to have one. The new nursing pod will officially open during a December 21 ribbon cutting.

The Mamava suite is a self-contained, 4-by-8-foot pod mobile pod with benches, a fold-down table, an electrical outlet for plugging in a breast pump, and a door that can be locked for privacy.

The suite is outside of section 116 on the main concourse. Guests and employees can access the suite for free using the the Mamava app, which is free for iOS and Android.

“We’re excited to continue to be industry leaders as we are now able to offer moms on the go the opportunity for a private, comfortable space for breastfeeding while attending events at the Wells Fargo Center,” John Page, president of the Wells Fargo Complex, said in a press release.

The timing is great for local moms, since the pod will be available for everyone attending Disney on Ice over winter break!

“We’re thrilled to support breastfeeding mamas at Wells Fargo Center,” said Sascha Mayer, co-founder and CEO of Mamava. “We believe that all mamas deserve a clean, comfortable, and dignified place to use a breast pump or breastfeed distraction-free—anywhere, anytime.”

The Wells Fargo Mamava pod joins others in the area, including at the Philadelphia Zoo, Philadelphia International Airport, and Newark Liberty International Airport.
