Family Craft Workshop: Mini Weavings
March 4 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

This workshop for kids 8-18 will introduce families to fun Scandinavian-inspired crafts. Kids will make “Bare Necessities Weaving” using found twig frames, recycled materials, and yarn. Families will tour the galleries to study Swedish textiles and take a brief nature walk outside to collect twigs, or they may choose from ready-to-use materials at the activity station.
In March, the workshop will be led by Hannah Wallace, a Philadelphia weaver who uses recycled materials in her rug-making practice. Space is limited. Tickets are $5 for member children and $10 for non-member children. Accompanying adults are welcome to make the craft as well for $10.
