Family Culture Circle

Join Bartram’s Garden for a family friendly gathering where individuals of all ages can experience and have fun with cultural activities related to arts throughout the African Diaspora. Participants will have an opportunity to delve into rich cultural traditions of dance, drumming, storytelling, arts & crafts, and much more!
Culture Ambassador of The Arts, Sistah Mafalda, is a world renowned and locally known dynamic performing artist of Afro-Caribbean dance, drum and storytelling. She is also a very energetic stilt walker.
For the Drum, Dance, and Storytelling workshop: Feel free to bring a drum, shaker or instrument if you’d like. There will also be instruments to share.
For the Mask Making Workshop: Feel free to bring shells, craft items, personal mementos, or any other items you’d like to incorporate into your mask. There will also be plenty of materials to share.
Guests are welcome to register for one or both workshops.
