PECO Family Jams: Hardboard Painting
Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens celebrates the artistic legacy of the Lorenzo family—three generations of artists from Guerrero, Mexico known for their bold, colorful paintings on Masonite hardboard depicting village landscapes, Mexican wrestlers, and jaguar dancers. Visitors can create their own hardboard artwork inspired by the Lorenzos’ vibrant style, and learn about founding artist Isaiah Zagar’s longtime collaborations during free basement tours, ranging from 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, and 3:30 p.m. This PECO Family Jam takes place on the second Sunday of the month from noon to 4:00 p.m., with crafts and tours included in regular admission.
