PECO Family Jams: Mosaic Medallions
March 12 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The mosaics at Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens are made up of thousands of interesting pieces held in place by colored grout (a mixture of sand, cement, and water). Participants will make mini-mosaics inside jar lids using beads, pieces of tile, mirror, and recycled materials. Join PMG for their most popular craft-making activity and leave with a hand-made souvenir.
PECO Family Jams are PMG’s one-of-a-kind, family-oriented programs, featured every second Sunday of the month between NOON and 4:00 PM. Tours of the fully mosaicked basement are part of this program. No reservations are required for PECO Family Jams, but admission tickets should be purchased in advance here.
