PECO Family Jams: One Book, One Philadelphia presents “Drawn Together”

In conjunction with the Free Library’s “One Book, One Philadelphia” program, we are celebrating Drawn Together written by Minh Lê and illustrated by Dan Santat. In this beautiful children’s book a shared love of art and storytelling overcomes communication barriers between a young boy and his grandfather. Like them, participants will imagine a fantastical world and create a self-image to inhabit it. Instead of paint brushes and colored markers, you’ll use a black-and-white printer, bits of cloth, and a variety of templates — from antelope horns to mermaid tails – to construct your new selves.

PECO Family Jams are PMG’s one-of-a-kind, family-oriented programs, featured every second Sunday of the month between noon and 4:00 p.m. Reservations are not required for PECO Family Jams. Crafts and basement tours are included with regular admission. Purchase your tickets in advance.
