Celebrate Mexican Independence Day and Guelaguetza, a celebration of Oaxaca’s Indigenous culture, with activities for all ages. Learn about Mexican Independence Day and other holidays and traditions, make a traditional pinwheel, and go on a gallery treasure hunt. Explore the Penn Museum’s incredible collection in the Mexico and Central America Gallery, where you can join in on pop-up presentations offered in Spanish and in English. The day culminates with vibrant folkloric dance performances, in Harrison Auditorium.
