Wells Fargo Presents: Secure the Bag

Secure the bag: A Real-World Budget Simulation™ is a life-sized, interactive game used to teach participants about finances in the real world: careers, budgeting, and credit.

Goals:

  • to help all students learn fundamental skills in financial planning, goal setting, decision-making, and career planning,
  • to reinforce the need for young women and men to examine their futures and their career expectations, and
  • to motivate students to stay in school, stay away from drugs, and be intentional about family planning.

Key Learnings:

  • How education and credit impact cost and opportunity
  • What it costs to run a household
  • How earnings impact buying decisions
  • Needs vs. Wants

 

***This program is open for 7th through 12th grade students. Any student under the age of 12 is recommended to be accompanied by an adult. Refreshments will be provided.
