SUMMARY:PECO Family Jams: Portraits in the Gardens
DESCRIPTION:The Magic Gardens’ current exhibition\, “Entre Raíces y Alas: Obras de Santiago Galeas / Between Roots and Wings: Works by Santiago Galeas\,” features the artist’s unique blend of realistic portraits and fantastic landscapes. Families are invited to get creative and turn their own image into a work of art using scrapbooking materials\, all while surrounded by Galeas’ stunning pieces. Families are welcome to bring a photo from home\, or have their picture taken at the Magic Gardens and printed out on the spot for free. \nFree tours of the fully mosaicked basement will be offered at 12:30\, 1:30\, 2:30\, and 3:30 pm\, where visitors can explore the many faces found throughout the Magic Gardens Museum’s mosaic collection. \nPECO Family Jams is the Magic Gardens’ family-oriented program held on the second Sunday of every month from noon to 4:00 pm. Crafts and basement tours are included with regular admission. Families are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.

DESCRIPTION:The Juneteenth Wellness & Arts Festival #JWAF is a vibrant\, community-centered celebration honoring the legacy of Juneteenth through a unique blend of cultural arts\, wellness\, and education. (A zero-proof experience for the entire family). \nDesigned to uplift Black culture and promote holistic well-being\, the festival features live performances\, interactive art installations\, health screenings\, fitness sessions\, and engaging panel discussions. This year\, in place of traditional alcohol service\, we’re proudly offering signature mocktails inspired by classic spirits\, a safer\, healthier way to celebrate freedom and joy. \nIn partnership with local mocktail artisans and alcohol-free beverage providers\, this fresh twist promotes wellness without compromising flavor or festivity. By creating a space where art\, culture\, and wellness intersect\, the festival aims to foster healing\, empowerment\, and deeper community connections in honor of freedom and forward progress.
