DESCRIPTION:Philly Bike Ride is thrilled to announce the return of its event on Saturday\, October 17\, 2026\, beginning at 7:30 a.m. Now celebrating its fifth year\, Philly Bike Ride has become a mainstay on Philadelphia’s fall event calendar\, drawing riders from across the United States and abroad. The ride is expected to welcome 7\,000 riders for the city’s only car-free social bike ride\, inviting cyclists of all ages and abilities to experience the city from a unique perspective. \nPhilly Bike Ride offers the ultimate “Cruise At Your Own Pace” experience with a 20-mile\, car-free route through the heart of the city. Riders can take in iconic landmarks including Independence Hall\, City Hall\, LOVE Park\, Chinatown\, Penn’s Landing and Boathouse Row without vehicle traffic. Whether you’re a first-time rider\, weekend cruiser or seasoned cyclist\, the event provides a safe and welcoming experience for everyone. \nParticipants can choose between the full 20-mile course or a shorter 7.6 mile family-friendly route\, both ending near the iconic Philadelphia Museum of Art and Rocky Steps where the Visit Pennsylvania Finish Festival awaits. This year’s celebration will feature new food partners\, live entertainment\, and interactive experiences throughout the festival grounds and an enhanced Beverage Garden\, creating an even bigger post-ride celebration for participants. Before the October 17 event\, attendees are invited to join the Packet Pickup Party on October 16.

Each free monthly gathering transforms the library into a playful movie experience with films\, hands-on art activities\, live music\, and conversations designed just for young audiences. In partnership with local artists and community organizations\, cinéKIDZ celebrates imagination\, diverse perspectives\, and the joy of storytelling while helping children build empathy\, confidence\, and meaningful connections with one another. cinéKIDZ is presented thanks to generous lead support provided by the William Penn Foundation. \nIn October\, cinéSPEAK is delighted to host YES! Your Empowered Sexuality as guest curators and program facilitators. YES! provides intersectional\, consent-based\, shame-free sexuality education to all people using interactive workshops\, social media\, and other mediums. Join YES! and cinéSPEAK for a day of learning\, play\, and empowerment for elementary schoolers. You’ll explore themes of changing bodies\, handling embarrassment\, friendship\, and self-love through stories\, art\, and play. \nEvent Flow: \nDoors: 12:00 PM —Enjoy complimentary lunch from Renata’s Kitchen!\nStory time with YES!: 12:15 PM\nFilm: Turning Red: 12:30 – 2:10 PM —with movie-theater style popcorn by cinéSPEAK!\nCookies and post-screening activities with YES!: 2:10 – 3:00 PM —Stick around to unpack the themes of the film using interactive play and dialogue. Plus\, cookies by Darnel’s Cakes will be featured! \nImportant Info: \nThis program is designed for youth 3-10 years. Caregivers\, siblings and friends outside of that age range are absolutely welcome to participate!\nAll participating children must be accompanied by an adult.\nAt check in\, one parent or guardian will be asked to to sign a photo waiver. You can preview the waiver here.\nThis is a relaxed non-traditional cinema space. Audience members will have various seating options such as floor mats\, ottomans and chairs. Guests are permitted to move about the space freely.\nLunch will be catered by a local business as noted above. We will have gluten free\, nuts free and vegan and vegetarian options. You are welcome to bring your own lunch and snacks\, if desired.\nBring your refillable water bottle to help us cut down on using plastic. \nAccessibility notes: \nThis venue is ADA compliant.
