DESCRIPTION:Join this free introductory session – meet Mr. Ray and Dr. Ben and learn about Suzuki at Temple Music Prep before registering for a full-term class! \nPre-Twinkle Classes provide opportunities for very young children to develop basic musicianship and readiness skills for success in the Suzuki approach. Students will build a guitar and violin/viola out of everyday household items\, sing\, and move with their instruments. Students will have a variety of musical enrichment activities that mix arts and crafts with music. Students will do drills to start establishing a set of guitar and violin/viola performing skills. Students will learn instrument and bow parts plus the famous “Twinkle Variations” on their Paper guitar and violin/viola. At the end of the session\, students will present a short performance to show off their instrument. The Free Intro starts at 10:30 am\, and all are welcome to attend the Pre-Twinkle Suzuki recital before the intro at 9:30 am. \nThis class is designed for children ages 3-5 years. \nRegister now! DESCRIPTION:This class is perfect for beginner to intermediate wheel throwing students. Whether you’ve taken a pottery class before or this is your first time using the wheel\, you will be able to develop your ceramic skills to create beautiful functional pieces. The Class will cover foundational topics\, including centering\, handle making\, throwing functional forms (cups\, bowls\, plates\, etc.)\, trimming\, and surface decorations. Come and learn the joys of making art you can use! \nClass will run Tuesday nights September 2nd – October 7th 6-9pm \nPlease note that this workshop takes place in the Utility Works basement\, which is only accessible via stairs. The class requires participants to be able to sit and/or stand for at least three hours and use their hands for two hours. You must be able to lift 25lbs. There are two gender-neutral bathrooms available for students\, including one that is ADA accessible. If you have specific accessibility needs or questions\, please contact us in advance so we can discuss potential accommodations.
