The transformative use of ordinary materials\, which is the constant creative work of children and a continuing delight for adults\, is evocatively brought to the stage. \nA non-verbal show for audiences of all ages\, using physical theater\, object manipulation\, and magic\, Mon Carton is fully accessible to deaf and hard of hearing audiences\, The performance was created to connect with children from 6 months on who are just discovering the performance format\, but speaks to older children and adults through visual surprises and poetic metaphors.

DESCRIPTION:This class is perfect for beginner to intermediate wheel throwing students. Whether you’ve taken a pottery class before or this is your first time using the wheel\, you will be able to develop your ceramic skills to create beautiful functional pieces. The Class will cover foundational topics\, including centering\, handle making\, throwing functional forms (cups\, bowls\, plates\, etc.)\, trimming\, and surface decorations. Come and learn the joys of making art you can use! \nClass will run Tuesday nights September 2nd – October 7th 6-9pm \nPlease note that this workshop takes place in the Utility Works basement\, which is only accessible via stairs. The class requires participants to be able to sit and/or stand for at least three hours and use their hands for two hours. You must be able to lift 25lbs. There are two gender-neutral bathrooms available for students\, including one that is ADA accessible. If you have specific accessibility needs or questions\, please contact us in advance so we can discuss potential accommodations.
