Come and learn the joys of making art you can use! \nClass will run Tuesday nights September 2nd – October 7th 6-9pm \nPlease note that this workshop takes place in the Utility Works basement\, which is only accessible via stairs. The class requires participants to be able to sit and/or stand for at least three hours and use their hands for two hours. You must be able to lift 25lbs. There are two gender-neutral bathrooms available for students\, including one that is ADA accessible. Archival images and stories are projected through storefront windows\, while colorful lighting highlights the architecture of one of Philadelphia’s most iconic main streets. Night of Lights is a celebration of community history\, architecture\, design\, and archives through slideshows\, illuminated architectural details\, and shared stories. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis multi-night\, family-friendly event is free and open to the public. \nOpening night on Friday\, October 3\, coincides with the Chestnut Hill Business District’s “Arts & Eats” celebration of gallery openings\, restaurant specials\, and extended hours. The Conservancy will host a short “Flip the Switch” ceremony to kick off the event at 6:30 PM at 8708 Germantown Avenue\, followed by live music\, interactive activities\, and more.
