A Magical Journey with the Bugibatukis!

September 27 @ 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Live Art, Storytelling & Creative Workshop for Kids

Sunday, September 27, 2026 at 2:00 pm

Ages 5–10 | 1-5 hours | Children must be accompanied by an adult throughout their presence at the event

Join Philadelphia-based international artist and visual storyteller Carlotta Schiavio, aka YaTii Talisman, for an imaginative adventure into the extraordinary world of the Bugibatukis!

Carlotta created the fantastical Bugibatukis, adorable, fun-loving alien inhabitants of planet YaTii Talisman who mysteriously appear on Earth, landing in water basins around the world.

Through a lively in-person reading and art-making experience based on her new book, Bugibatuki Watershed Awareness, children will discover the fascinating world of water while meeting these colorful intergalactic characters.

Then… Create Your Own Bugibatuki!

Children will become artists and invent their very own Bugibatuki character, inspired by Carlotta’s imaginative universe. They’ll create a unique creature with its own personality, story, and connection to the natural world.

All art materials will be provided.

This special program combines art, storytelling, environmental awareness, imagination, and hands-on creativity inviting children to see our planet, and especially our water, in a whole new way.
