Philadelphia Family Community Calendar
Travel back to 1760 Philadelphia and learn about the city’s gruesome history of infection and inoculation. Meet at Betsy’s grave in the Betsy Ross House courtyard and uncover true, macabre tales about bloodletting, smallpox, yellow fever, and other gross experiences. Along the way, meet figures who lived through the ghastly 18th century and discover why Philadelphia was an infectious place to be! Then, head inside for a spooky, shadowy tour. Tours run every Saturday in October at 6 & 8pm; the full experience lasts 60 minutes.
Note: This tour is not recommended for small children.
