Eastern State Penitentiary invites their neighbors in the 19130 and 19121 zip codes to visit FREE of charge every 2nd Sunday of the month, no reservations required!
Eastern State Penitentiary was the world’s first penitentiary—a prison designed to inspire penitence—and now operates as a museum and historic site. Neighbors are invited to come explore this unique building and learn about its history and legacy of criminal justice reform. Admission includes a self-guided audio tour that leads visitors through the historic cellblocks, through exhibits about mass incarceration, and to other points of interest like Al Capone’s Cell.
Each household may receive up to six complimentary tickets on each Neighbor Day, including admission for two guests not residing in the 19130 or 19121 zip codes. Children 7 and under are always admitted without charge. No reservations required. This offer is not valid for Halloween Nights at Eastern State Penitentiary.
Neighbors must provide verification of address and provide a name, address, phone number (optional), and email address (optional).
