Kite Making [Family Style]
May 18 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Make a kite out of paper and bamboo, inspired by kites of Vietnam. Kite making and flying emphasizes balance and presence, offering a pathway to mindfulness and stress relief. Find personal expression through decorating your kite sail with colorful markers, cut papers, or sumi ink. If weather permits, there will be a post-workshop walk to nearby Liberty Lands Park to try out the kites.
This workshop is suitable for adults and teens age 13 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No prior art or kite experience required. All materials and supplies covered by course fee.
