Pop-Up Performance by AfrVBz & Engoma Enteera at Trolley Portal Gardens

The weather is heating up, the flowers are in bloom, and free live performances are returning to Trolley Portal Gardens next month! We are once again partnering with local performer Gretchen Elise to produce a 5-week series of fun, family-friendly pop-ups on Thursdays after work. Performances will take place outdoors at the Trolley Portal (40th and Baltimore) on Thursday evenings from 5 – 7 PM, and will move inside to the second floor of Renata’s during inclement weather.

This year’s schedule will be:

• May 9th: M.O.M. (Music Over Matter): Soulful beats with audience participation
• May 16th: Trumpet Chics: Energetic youth brass dance band
• May 23rd: MIC’d Up Allstars: Rising young stars jazz ensemble & open jam
• May 30th: AfrVBz & Engoma Enteera: West African dance party meets East African classical music
• June 6th: Gretchen Elise (part of the Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll!): Interactive jazz-soul set & open jam
