Raise the Woof: A Women’s Build

Ladies, grab your sneakers and get ready to build! Join us for Raise the Woof: A Women’s Build, a hands-on afternoon where women can learn new construction skills, get comfortable with power tools, and create something special for shelter pets.
Working together in rotating stations, participants will learn how to safely use a variety of power tools, including a chop saw, table saw, sander, and nail gun, while helping build two adorable Snoopy-inspired dog houses. No previous building experience is necessary! Whether you’re a DIY pro or have never used a power tool before, you’ll have the opportunity to learn alongside other women in a supportive, hands-on environment.
And there’s an extra-special reason to build: the completed dog houses will be part of a prize drawing for October adopters at AWA, giving two lucky adopters the chance to take home a one-of-a-kind dog house for their new best friend.
