Visible Mending Workshop at 20th Century Club

Visible mending is an art of repair and sentimentality. Whether you’re interested in offsetting the negative effects of fast fashion, preserving meaningful objects, or simply enjoy the meditative act of sewing and embroidering, this workshop will provide a space for you to do so.
This three-hour workshop is a place to commune, connect and share with others as you learn mending techniques for reviving old clothes, linens, and fabrics. Participants should bring things that need mending. Fabric, thread, and basic sewing tools will be provided. Visitors are welcome and encouraged to bring their own tools and any fabric or thread for their own projects— or to share!
