Kick-off Birthday Celebration at Please Touch Museum
The yearlong fun kicks off with a free birthday weekend celebration on October 3 and 4, thanks to funding from the Philadelphia City Fund’s 2026 Milestone Grant Fund, supported by PECO. This support ensures that the Please Touch Museum’s 50th birthday is a community-focused celebration, with free admission for children and caregivers across the region.
Memorial Hall will be transformed into a Museum-wide birthday party filled with experiences designed to spark creativity, compassion, confidence and curiosity, while demonstrating the power of learning through play.
An interactive two-tier birthday cake installation in Hamilton Hall will be the centerpiece of the celebration. Children will be able to “light” 50 candles using motion sensors, press sprinkle-shaped buttons, decorate the cake using color-matching panels, and explore other engaging elements.
