Object Memory Gallery Opening at 20*20 Gallery
The LEDC’s Art Committee invites you to join them for the opening reception for Object Memory on Saturday, February 22, from 5-8 PM at the 20*20 Gallery in Lansdowne, PA.
In Object Memory, artists Jen Blazina and Ashley Catharine Smith collect, mend, and reinterpret objects—some inherited from family, others discarded by strangers—to explore how heirlooms become mythic, shaping our understanding of the past, each other, and ourselves.
By turns playful and poignant, their charged objects evoke cherished memories and honor past lives while grappling with intergenerational trauma and the ever-shifting nature of the stories we pass along generation after generation.
