Timbalooloo Jazz for Kids at Pfleeger Concert Hall

March 16 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Oran Etkin’s music has graced major concert stages and a Grammy Award-winning compilation. With Timbalooloo, he takes children on a global musical adventure, exploring diverse instruments and cultures. This vibrant journey reveals how global cultures form the foundation of American music and society. This unique production for young audiences has earned acclaim from prestigious venues and festivals worldwide, including the Kennedy Center, Istanbul Jazz Fest, North Sea Jazz, and Shanghai Theater.

Timbalooloo isn’t simply a concert; it’s a comprehensive teaching method that originated in New York and has gained international recognition from organizations like UNESCO, the American Speech Language Hearing Association, and Mladi Ladi Jazz in Prague. In fact, Mladi Ladi Jazz trains young musicians to teach Etkin’s Timbalooloo method in Czech public schools! Inspired by how children naturally learn languages, the method encourages intuitive and enjoyable fluency in the language of music.

This performance is ideal for children ages 2-9 and their families.
