Explore historic cooking and foodways with demonstrations in the newly restored 1739 Trimble House Kitchen and the reconstructed Bake Oven behind the Miller’s House at Kitchen Encounters at Newlin Grist Mills. Participants will experiment with various ingredients, techniques, and historic recipes.
Each program will have a different theme – this season, we’re exploring topics related to the ongoing archaeological excavations around the Trimble House complex in coordination with our Public Archaeology program!
