Celebrate America’s 250th in the heart of history at the Philadelphia Historic District 250th Committee’s Second Annual Red, White, & Blue To-Do on July 2, 2025! Kick off the day with a flag raising at the Betsy Ross House, then enjoy the spirited Pomp & Parade featuring whimsical red wagon floats and diverse parade groups as it winds past the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. After the parade, join the free All-American Block Party on 3rd Street for music, games, family fun, and food trucks. The festivities continue with a vibrant lineup of free musical street performances at eight Historic District locations, plus happy hour specials and fun, patriotic events at local museums and sites! Deck yourself out at Decoration Stations and soak in the festive decor throughout the District. Grab the special Historic Philadelphia Gazette for maps and event details. The celebration concludes with a free Salute to Service Concert on Independence Mall at 7 pm. Don’t miss this unforgettable day of patriotic fun where American independence began!
