Introduce your child to the wonders of classical music with Camille Saint-Saëns’s “Carnival of the Animals” at the Kimmel Center. This captivating work, where each movement musically depicts a different animal, offers a delightful exploration of the animal kingdom. Its influence extends to popular culture, as seen in John Williams’s “Harry Potter” scores. Watch as the orchestra brings a lively zoo to life, sparking your child’s imagination.
This will be a sensory-friendly performance. All are welcome to this concert, which has been designed to create a welcoming environment for those with sensory sensitivities, or anyone who may benefit from a relaxed concert environment.
House lighting will be kept at mid-level, and house doors will remain open. There will be a cool-down space for stimulated guests. Sensory-friendly kits, noise-canceling headphones, and fidget spinners will be available.
