The School District of Philadelphia is kicking off its annual Ring the Bell Bus Tour, bringing free backpacks, health services, educational activities, and family fun directly to neighborhoods across the city. This year’s tour will continue through mid-August, culminating in a special event at the Fashion District Philadelphia.

What Is the Ring the Bell Bus Tour?
The Ring the Bell Bus Tour is an annual outreach event by the School District of Philadelphia designed to help families gear up for the new school year. The bus tour travels to multiple neighborhood sites across Philadelphia, offering families access to:
- Free backpacks filled with school supplies
- Back-to-school tips and important information
- Immunizations and school physicals at select locations*
- Snacks and frozen treats for kids
- Fun educational activities and games
- Enrollment and Parent Portal account support
- Exciting raffles and prizes
The goal is to ensure all students start the year prepared, healthy, and excited to learn.
When and Where Is the Bus Tour Happening?
All Ring the Bell Bus Tour stops run from 10 AM to 2 PM. Here’s the full schedule of stops:
- Tuesday, August 12, 2025 – Marcus Foster Memorial Stadium (Gratz Supersite), 1627 W. Hunting Park Ave
- Friday, August 15, 2025 – Roosevelt Mall, 2329 Cottman Ave
