Katy blends tender care with know how to provide nurturing guidance. She’s not afraid to nudge you to create new habits or try a new approach but ultimately gives you autonomy to make your own choices. Any new parent and baby would be lucky to be supported by Katy for chest and breast feeding.

    • Katy Baker-Cohen

Katy, thank you so much for these kind words, giving “advice” and leaving space for autonomy is one of the greatest juggles and I am glad you felt supported!!

Every new mother and family deserves the warm, knowledgeable support and wisdom that Katy provides. The world would be a better place—and the breastfeeding journey far more manageable and empowering—for so many mothers with her care. In those early weeks and months, it takes a special person to enter that tender space. Katy brings steady, deeply competent care, and she is incredibly easy to trust. I don’t know where we’d be without her!

Aw MJ, what a true gift it was to support you in those early days and to still get to be connected to your sweet family!! Thank you for these words

  • Chelsea

Katy truly made a difference in my breastfeeding journey. When we first connected, I was struggling significantly and had nearly given up on breastfeeding, relying solely on pumping. From the beginning, Katy met me exactly where I was. She was completely supportive of pumping while also gently and compassionately helping me work toward my goal of breastfeeding.

Through two in-home visits, she helped me rebuild confidence in myself and gave me the patience and reassurance I needed to move forward. Later, when I wanted to transition from a mix of pumping to mostly breastfeeding—and needed guidance managing oversupply—Katy continued to be incredibly supportive through virtual visits and thoughtful follow-ups to ensure everything was going smoothly.

What stood out most was her empathy, attentiveness, and genuine investment in my success, no matter what feeding approach worked best for me. I’m deeply grateful for her support and can’t recommend her highly enough to anyone seeking lactation care.

Katy was a great resource for my second breastfeeding journey! She was a wealth of knowledge and provided a thorough analysis at my home with immediate tips and tricks that helped us to be more efficient with feeds!

We were referred to Katy by a friend, and we are so lucky we found our way to her. I was so nervous about going back to work & Katy was a godsend – making the adjustments to my breastfeeding schedule and transitioning the baby to a bottle was so much less stressful because of her. Katy made the most out of our in-person time together, and then was extremely communicative with follow up. I’ve passed her name along to many friends!

  • Meaghan

Katy is wonderful! She’s so knowledgeable, responsive, thorough and kind. She helped me make some key decisions and adjustments right after my second child was born. Has helped me exclusively breastfeed which was a struggle with my first child.

I had an extremely challenging breast-feeding journey as a first time mom starting from birth (could barely find a LC since they are so in demand!). Even with Katy’s very busy schedule, she fit me in ASAP and was a game changer (and life-saver!) in being able to breast feed as I really wanted to do. I not only had latch issues because of my son’s tongue tie (Katy recommended a wonderful pediatric dentist that saw us right away when my son’s pediatrician’s hospital gave us a date two months out) but mastitis infections twice and recurring abscesses that brought me to the ER on Christmas Day. Not only technically great, she was so supportive and knowledgeable from a mental health perspective. We worked together in person for several months and even after, she continue to follow up as I was dealing with the abscesses. We still work together virtually and I plan to continue seeing her thru weaning. You will not regret working with her if you need a LC.

Katy was an absolute gift during one of the most vulnerable moments of my postpartum journey. Her support as a lactation consultant made me feel calm, capable, and deeply supported at a time when everything felt new and overwhelming. She combines deep expertise with incredible warmth, meeting you exactly where you are without judgment. Because of Katy, I felt confident feeding my baby and trusted my body in a way I hadn’t before. Any new parent would be lucky to be cared for by her–she truly embodies what the Philly Love Award stands for.

Thank you so much for these kind words!! What a gift to be able to support your building of trust in your body at such a pivotol time!

My little one is 9 months old, and I truly don’t know what I would have done without Katy these past 9 months. From the early days postpartum (including a challenging phase of triple feeding), to navigating clogged ducts and mystery lumps, to asking all kinds of questions about nursing positions, integrating formula, pumping schedules, returning to work, and SO much in between, Katy was by my side, just a visit or message away. She made me feel so seen, comforted, and capable. She clearly cares deeply about what she does and who she serves, and she even went above and beyond to call me a few times to talk things through on the phone. Katy has been such a gift to our family. I’ll forever be grateful to have her in my orbit. Thank you, Katy!

Katy is awesome! From the moment we met, she was encouraging, professional, and kind. She helped to troubleshoot latch for my premature baby and made amazing suggestions for very well-rounded breast-feeding support. Our follow up visits were very affirming and she was always willing to communicate between visits. I would recommend Katy to anyone.looking for breastfeeding support!

I truly don’t think we would have made it through the early months of feeding without her! She was an absolute lifesaver — knowledgeable, compassionate, and endlessly patient. She helped us with latch issues, made sure our daughter was gaining weight on track, supported me through supply challenges, and guided us through adjusting our feeding and pumping routines as our needs changed.

She was also incredibly helpful during our daughter’s tongue tie release and recovery, making sure the process went smoothly and that we felt confident every step of the way. Her calm presence and expertise gave me so much reassurance during such a vulnerable time.

If you’re a new mom or struggling with breastfeeding, I can’t recommend her enough. She made all the difference for our family — truly amazing! 💕

Katy was incredibly helpful to my baby, spouse, and me when we came home from the hospital. Her calm demeanor and reassurance made me feel safe and encouraged when I felt like breastfeeding wasn’t for us. She taught us so much about how to feed and support my baby during a fragile time. I credit her for easing my transition into motherhood by making me feel seen, heard, and cared for.

    • Katy Baker-Cohen

Tacie, I am really grateful to have been able to contribute to a feeling of safety in such a senstive and transformative time. Thank you for allowing me to support you!!

  • Nadia Schreiber

Katy was the most helpful and calming presence during both of my postpartum and breastfeeding journeys. Without Katy I am not sure how I could have muddled through those early baby-feeding days, but with her help I was able to breastfeed both of my kids for as long as I wanted to. I wish every woman could have a Katy in their life!

    • Katy Baker-Cohen

Nadia!! What a gift to get to support you for both of your babies!! thank you for trusting me and thank you for connecting me with the beautiful Move With Love community:)

Katy is THE reason I’ve been able to continue breastfeeding my baby. With her help we were able to manage difficulty with weight loss out of the gate, anatomy incompatibility issues, figuring out how to re-latch after sickness, and multiple other challenges. Breastfeeding has not been intuitive for me. Katy’s kindness, professionalism, understanding and practical approach have made all the difference for us. She is easy to communicate with, super responsive and wonderful with my baby. I feel reassured that she is in my corner and will be there for the inevitable bumps in the road to come. I’m so grateful for her support, I enthusiastically recommend her.

    • Katy Baker-Cohen

Oh Susan!! What an amazing thing to get to meet you pre-baby, support you in the early days and continue to get to be on the journey with you. Thank you for trusing me all the way through!!

  • Bluma M.

I can’t recommend Katy enough! From the moment I met her, I felt at ease with her warm, kind demeanor. She is incredibly patient and took the time to answer every question I had no matter how small or repetitive. She is also extremely communicative and it was always so easy to get in touch with her. With both of my babies, she provided the guidance and support I needed to feel confident and comfortable with breastfeeding. She really goes above and beyond to make sure you understand everything and feel supported through the process. If you are looking for a lactation consultant who truly cares and will help you every step of the way, she’s the one! I would recommend her to absolutely everyone!

Katy has been an invaluable resource to me and my family on our baby feeding journey. She brings incredible expertise and warmth in equal measure that really supports all of the complex questions that come up. Our sessions were productive and comforting and her quick responses to my frantic messages always put me at ease, without any judgement. Especially as a first time mom, I feel so fortunate to have someone like Katy to help me and my baby thrive.

  • Megan Powers

Katy is a stellar IBCLC! Supportive, kind, authentic. Goes out of her way. As an infant PT, I love the opportunities I have to collaborate with Katy.
Katy supports all families, and is caring and accepting.

  • Isabella Y.

Katy was an amazing support as our lactation consultant after the birth of our first baby. She was available over the phone for crucial advice even before our official consultation, helping navigate a painful latch in the early days postpartum, and gave us so much reassurance at our consultation through a weighted feed, and an assessment of our baby’s mouth, and sizing me for the correct pump parts! She offered a ton of resources, including education materials, access to her for follow up questions through her messaging portal, and her free bi-weekly lactation group. Katy helped start our breastfeeding journey with confidence, and continues to offer invaluable support five months in!
