Fishtown Montessori, founded in 2017 by a lifelong educator and certified teacher and principal, provides an incredibly high-quality Montessori learning environment. Children ages eighteen months through six years old enjoy two beautiful buildings and an expansive outdoor space right in the heart of Fishtown. Their research-based Montessori program follows the guiding principles of the American Montessori Society, which they have been a member of since their inception. The school's mission is to nurture the curiosity and wonder that inspires learning so that children develop a deep understanding of the foundational skills essential to fulfilling their human potential.

My husband and I are so happy we made the choice to send our 5 yr old here. With the pandemic happening she wasn’t able to start school near our home in New Jersey. We decided that it was important that our daughter was still able to have an in-person education so we decided to send her to Fishtown Montessori. Their covid policies have helped us feel safe while still allowing our daughter to be around other children. We couldn’t be happier with how much she has learned and grown. She has become so much more independent. Her reading , writing and math skills have excelled. She has grown and changed so much within this school year. Our daughter has always begged to stay home and disliked other early learning centers, however she loves going to school here. She adores her teachers and has even made a best friend. Our only sadness is that this will be her last year here because she will be going into first grade next year. I can’t say enough great things about this school and its teachers.
