Lion Dance Workshop & Mini Parade
Families can celebrate the Lunar New Year by learning the fundamentals of traditional lion dance! This hands-on workshop introduces basic movements, rhythms (drumming and cymbals), and the cultural meaning behind lion dance. The also includes a short demonstration by the Philly Suns team and practice. The workshop will conclude with a brief parade through Chinatown, giving participants a chance to experience the vibrant spirit of the New Year firsthand. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult, but there is no prior experience required.
