Pancakes, Eggs, Bacon, and… Ice Cream?

Leave the bacon, egg, and cheese behind because February 4 is Ice Cream for Breakfast Day and we found some local ice cream shops who want to help you celebrate!

The old proverb “necessity is the mother of invention” was likely invented by none other than a parent, a parent in need of ways to entertain their kids. And who needs entertainment more than a parent who’s kids are stuck home, inside, during a snowstorm? Ice Cream for Breakfast Day has been credited to a mother in Rochester, NY in 1966 who needed something exciting for her kids when it was cold and snowy and the kids were complaining there was nothing to do. In my house, ice cream solves a lot of problems, and it seems like we aren’t the only ones!

This may be the first time I’m ever hearing of this delicious holiday, but word has spread around town and we found the following places offering special experiences and chilly treats!
