Today We Are Possible Exhibit Opening

The Heim Center for Cultural and Civic Engagement at Parkway Central Library invites you to a reception to celebrate the opening of the “Today We Are Possible” photography exhibition on January 31, 2024, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. This event is a collaboration with WOMEN’S WAY and the Mayor’s Office of Engagement for Women.

Step into a world of thought-provoking visual narratives as we unveil the “Today We Are Possible” exhibition, an exploration of the connections between gender and wealth. Photographer Gregory Wright skillfully captures vibrant and intimate portraits depicting the captivating stories of six remarkable Philadelphia women—Faith, Ingrid, Ivy, Taina, Tamara, and Tracey. Their experiences provide a unique perspective on wealth intertwined with health, community, love, and belonging.
During the kick-off event, immerse yourself in the powerful visual narratives of these six women and engage in a moderated panel discussion where they will share their stories. Engage with Free Library resources and services, including a materials display featuring related items available for browsing and check out. This is an event with accessibility features.The exhibition will run from January 31st to April 30th, 2024.
