Pelvio has made such a difference in so many parents’ lives! As a pediatric OT working with babies, I see a lot of postpartum parents and Sam is always my first recommendation for pelvic floor therapy in Philly!

Sam and the team at Pelvio PT changed my life. I had a c section to birth my daughter and at my 6 week post partum appointment, I was cleared for normal exercise and sex, but something just didn’t feel right. I contacted Sam at Pelvio PT and she spent weeks working with me to strengthen my pelvic floor which resulted in so much more than just stronger muscles. Sam helped me reconnect with my body after a major surgery, she kept me safe while reintroducing exercise into my life, and she showed me how to use my core to strengthen and protect my whole body. Through Pelvio, I’ve been able to thrive as a new mom, not just survive, and to feel like myself in my body again.”

Sam helped me so much when I started seeing her during my third trimester. I had been experiencing a ton of pelvic, hip and back pain during my pregnancy and it became unbearable. We worked through various exercises, stretches, and she coached me through homework to do on my own in between our sessions. In addition to this, Sam helped me prepare for my labor and delivery by teaching me breathing exercises, pushing positions and breathing strategies, and all around tips/tricks. Because of Sam I not only was able to feel relief from my pain, but I truly believe my labor and delivery experience was so positive due to our work together. I felt confident in my breathing techniques and ability, and was able to successfully birth my baby with minimal tearing. My recovery was quick and easy. Pelvic floor PT really helped me so much. I am so thankful I found Sam and will absolutely see her again the next go around.

Dr. Sam Fazio supported me through the second half of my pregnancy, keeping me running as long as possible and healthy through the birth of my daughter. Her expertise and exercises strengthened my pelvic floor, kept me active right through birth, and resolved sciatic pain as soon as it began. Because of her, I had no tearing with the birth of my daughter and knew exactly how to push when the time came. I pushed for only twenty minutes and all of my midwives and nurses asked me for who I went to because they were so impressed with what she taught me. I’m newly postpartum, but already recovery has been faster and easier than expected because of all the preparation she’s had me do. Every pregnant woman should have Sam as a resource.
