Weitzman Museum: Dual Heritage Month Celebration
May 5 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Join the party at The Weitzman on May 5th for a FREE multicultural celebration! They’re celebrating both Jewish American and Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Months for this unique Family Day that is jam-packed with fun activities for all ages. There will be musical and dance performances, crafts, interactive workshops, tours, and more.
1 – 2 PM Pre-show & Opening Ceremony with a Vietnamese Traditional Fashion Show, Indian/Cambodian dancing and Korean drum performances.
2 -3 PM Taekwondo Workshop
2 – 3:30 PM Adoughma (Ah-DOUGH-mah) dough play: sensory-friendly play dough fun (all ages) with Erin Beser.
3:30 PM Perelman Jewish Day School Choir performance
3:45 PM Rak-Dan Entertainment leading a communal hora and Israeli dancing.
4:30 – 5 PM Bollywood Dancing
Other performances include Korean fan dancing, Chinese traditional dancing, Mongolian dancing, and playing the Guzheng, an ancient Chinese instrument.
Interactive crafts and activities like face painting, calligraphy, henna hand painting, and shuttlecock kicking.
Storytime all day with PJ Library!
