Jurassic Quest Brings Drive-Thru Dinosaur Adventure to Philly!
RAWR!! The dinos are coming, and new dates have been added!
For years, Jurassic Quest has brought America’s largest and most realistic dinosaur exhibit on tour, allowing dino-lovers to walk among dozens of lifelike moving dinosaurs. This year, in response to the restrictions of COVID-19, they have transformed into an interactive drive-thru experience, and it’s coming to Philly from September 4—20!
This first-ever Jurassic drive-thru will take over the parking area of the Wells Fargo Center, and will feature over 70 moving and life-size dinosaurs. Guests will have the chance to drive through realistic scenes in this hour-long ride back in time.
To guide you along, Philadelphia will be among the first in the nation to experience the online audio tour of the safari. You will be texted a link before your time slot, to open and play on your phone (or through your car speakers if you connect) upon arrival.
Jurassic Quest worked in collaboration with leading paleontologists to ensure each dinosaur was accurately replicated in detail, from era to habitat to realistic movement—so watch out for the swinging tail of the 80 foot-long Spinosaurus!
In addition to the dinosaur exhibits, there will be opportunities to visit with baby dinosaurs, as well as the chance to capture the moment with a safari-style photo of your car and family transported back in time via a Jurassic setting complete with a dinosaur backdrop—photos are included in the ticket price.
Tickets are available online (plus some add-on goodies), and must be purchased in advance. $49 admission covers everyone in your car (they specify that is up to nine people), including pets if you want to bring them along. To ensure safety amid COVID-19 concerns, everyone needs to remain in their car. If you do exit the car to go to the bathroom (or visit the gift shop), masks and social distancing are required.
Jurassic Quest runs from September 4—20 at Wells Fargo Center, located at 3601 S. Broad Street in Philadelphia. If you initially purchased tickets for the drive-thru when it was to be in Oaks, your tickets are still good for the same day and timeslot they were originally scheduled with no need to change.
