Juneteenth Guided Talk at the Magic Gardens

Learn about Philadelphia’s Seventh Ward, the heart of the Black community for generations, at the Philadelphia Magic Gardens. Enjoy elaborate artwork and architecture by Isaiah Zagar as you stroll through the twisting archways. This is a great way to help kids and adults further understand and celebrate Black influence on the culture and history of Philadelphia!

Juneteenth at Please Touch Museum
4231 Avenue of the Republic, Philadelphia
June 19, 2026, from 10 am–4:15 pm
Kids always have a fantastic time celebrating holidays at Please Touch Museum. For Juneteenth, they can add to a community painting, listen to a story about a special summer, decorate cupcakes, learn to hand sew on pillows, print their own tote bags, and participate in a cool science workshop. The festivities will conclude with an end of day parade by the West Powelton Steppers and Band!
Juneteenth Block Party and Free Museum Day at AAMP

Head to the African American Museum in Philadelphia for their Juneteenth Block Party & Free Museum Day. In partnership with Wawa and Welcome America, AAMP is hosting a family-friendly outdoor festival full of games, education, and entertainment. The mistress of ceremonies is Philadelphia’s own Patty Jackson from iHeart Radio and WDAS-FM. Guests can also enjoy free admission to check out the museum’s newest exhibitions!

Philadelphia Juneteenth Festival at Johnson House Historic Site

Johnson House Historic Site is hosting its 20th annual Philadelphia Juneteenth Festival! This celebration has offerings for the whole family, from panel discussions to performance arts and historic tours. Enjoy a vendor marketplace and food trucks with all kinds of goodies available for purchase. The event is free to attend.
Juneteenth Jazz Concert

Looking for a musical way to celebrate? Gather with local community members in North Philadelphia to enjoy a free jazz concert at Oak Lane Library. Leon Jordan Jr, and the Local 77 Band will perform sets inspired by Philadelphian musicians and composers.
Juneteenth Wellness & Arts Festival at Cherry Street Pier

Head to the waterfront to celebrate freedom, culture, and community this Juneteenth. The Wellness and Arts Festival, presented by the Women’s Coalition for Empowerment, honors the legacy of the day with live performances, interactive art, fitness sessions, health screenings, free giveaways, and more. Entry is free, or you can purchase mocktail glass tickets in advance!

Philadelphia Juneteenth Parade and Festival

Come and cheer on the largest Juneteenth parade in the nation. The Philadelphia Juneteenth Parade and Festival includes a marketplace and art in the park with over 250 vendors, a youth pavilion, a music festival for all ages, and a parade through West Philadelphia.
