Shop Festive Holiday Markets in Philly This Season
While some markets are just for the day, others bring a whole month of merriness! And even if you don’t have much shopping to do, they are the perfect places to check out our local arts scene, enjoy some holiday treats, and spend time with family. Here are our favorites: at the top are the markets that run for several weeks, then below you’ll find our calendar listings for the “pop-up” events.
Christmas Village
November 22 to December 24, hours vary
City Hall and LOVE Park, 1500 Arch Street
To call this just a holiday market is a great injustice, because this is basically a month of holiday cheer in the middle of Philadelphia. Modeled after the traditional Christmas Markets in Germany, this annual market features over 80 vendors in wooden booths selling authentic European food, ornaments, crafts, clothing, and more from all over the world.
In addition to the amazing assortment of wares, there are festive events all month long including live music, storytimes, wine tastings, and even visits with Santa! Something new to look out for this year is a German pyramid in the middle of the village. They also have great food, from waffles to mulled wine (Pro tip: buy the commemorative mug for discount refills, you won’t be sorry).
Decemberfest Holiday Shopping Stroll
December 20, 11 am–4 pm
Germantown Avenue, Mt. Airy
At Decemberfest, families can enjoy live music, festive food and drinks, fire pits, live ice sculpting, and shops offering handmade local gifts.
Fiber Craft Holiday Market
December 6, 2025, 10 am–5 pm
West Gym, 821 Dudley Street
Back for the third year, this market features all things with fiber craft, such as yarn shops, craft supplies and kits, indie dyers and spinners (yarn and fiber), handmade items, fiber art, textile wearables, jewelry, and more. With 50+ vendors, you can find your favorite fiber and textile related gift while celebrating handmade crafts.
HANDMADE 2025
December 13, 2025, 11 am–5 pm
Fleisher Art Memorial, 719 Catherine Street
This indoor market includes unique gifts by local artists and craft vendors, curated this year by Cassie Renee Peña. This year, HANDMADE is in collaboration with El Mercado Cultural, a Fleisher initiative focused on sharing creative and marketing resources with Latinx entrepreneurs. During this event, Fleisher’s 127th Annual Adult Student Exhibition will also be displayed in the galleries by talented artists in the community.
Handmade Holidays at Bartram’s Garden
December 6, 2025, 11 am–3 pm
5400 Lindbergh Blvd.
Enjoy seasonal music and refreshments as you get everything you need to deck your halls, including decorated and undecorated wreaths, centerpieces, fresh evergreens and more. Plus, Holiday Marketplace vendors will be there, so you get some gift shopping done, too. The event also includes story-time and children’s activities, make-and-take workshops, and more festiveness. This year, they’re bringing back their annual pie competition!
Holidays on the Hill
November 22 to December 25, hours vary
Chestnut Hill, PA (primarily Germantown Avenue)
Step into one of Philly’s most historic and charming villages and embrace the holiday spirit with late night shopping, festive entertainment, seasonal treats, and more. On Wednesdays, they have extended hours, so you can shop till you drop.
Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market
November 15, 2025 to January 1, 2026, hours vary
Dilworth Park, 1 S. 15th Street
Right outside City Hall, more than 40 local artisans, designers, crafters, and confectionaries will offer unique selections for gifts and special holiday foods. This market was designed to complement Christmas Village across the street but only focuses on locally made gifts. Stop by after skating on the Rothman Rink and running through Wintergarden Maze! Stay after to watch the light show projected onto City Hall, and don’t miss a ride on the carousel in the courtyard. It’s even open on Christmas Eve, so you can go for last-minute shopping.
Made@Bok: Winter Market
December 13, 2026, 11 am–5 pm
821 Dudley Street
Come jump start your holiday shopping or get a little something for yourself at the Made@BOK Market. Shop everything from slow fashion and sustainable glass blowers, to 3D-printed, laser-cut, and hand-thrown ceramics, fine-crafted jewelry, and more.
Manayunk’s Jolly Trolley
December 4 to December 20, 2025; Thursdays and Fridays, 5 pm–9 pm; Saturdays, 1 pm–9 pm
Main Street, Manayunk
As part of the Manayunk Main Street Gets Lit event (Nov. 20–Jan.1), a free trolley offers rides for families along the Main Street, making several stops to your favorite businesses. Ride the trolley and hop off to enjoy food and drink deals, shopping specials, festive entertainment, and more while enjoying holiday lights.
