Rachel Utain-Evans is an award-winning photographer and filmmaker serving families in and around Philadelphia. A self-described "weird, warm-hearted badass", her keen documentary eye and quick shutter finger make each of her sessions unique to each family. Rather than curated outfits and specific poses, Rachel's work reflects real moments and connection between a family, and strikes the balance of a little guidance and forgetting you're being photographed. As a trained doula, she brings a deep passion and knowledge to her birth work as well, and prides herself on blending seamlessly into the birth team so her clients can really stay present.

“Rachel is so great! My partner and I don’t like having photos taken much, but really want pictures of our family taken because kids change and grow so fast. It was a dilemma, until Rachel. She somehow captures great expressions in beautiful compositions without anyone ever needing to pose. Our two-year-old daughter hardly stops moving ever and yet Rachel has captured some stunning shots of her. I really have a hard time relaxing in front of a camera, but Rachel is really talented at giving some direction but also kind of disappearing so that you aren’t hyper aware of being photographed. It’s always a struggle to choose which photos to order bc I love them all. We highly recommend Rachel!
