Firefly Walk

Join Wissahickon Trails for a nighttime adventure at Armentrout Preserve! Their journey will start with a short introduction to learn about these enchanting creatures before taking a walk through the meadow to catch a glimpse of their mesmerizing bioluminescence.
- Viewing containers will be available for use
- Bring a chair or blanket for the introductory part of the program
- Insect repellent is fine, but please try avoid application to hands
- Bring a flashlight or headlamp
- Participants will need to walk about 1/4 mile over uneven grassy terrain
- There are no restrooms at the preserve
They are happy to offer their programs at no cost to participants, but if you are able, a $10 suggested donation would be greatly appreciated by them. Wissahickon Trails is a local, community-supported nonprofit.
