Make a Splash This Summer: Philadelphia’s Public Pools Are Open for 2026

Discover Philadelphia public pools for summer 2026, with free swim lessons, daily open swim hours, and a full schedule by location and date.

Summer is here, and Philly families can look forward to diving into over 60 Philadelphia Parks & Rec outdoor public pools, set to open this summer. These neighborhood pools are free to use and offer daily swim times, swim lessons for kids, and programs for more than 6,000 local campers.

All open pools will provide free swim lessons for children, making it easier than ever to stay safe and confident in the water this summer. Swim programming is also part of the city’s summer camps, giving thousands of Philly kids the chance to learn and play.

Every pool that opens will offer daily public swim from 1–4 pm, with some sites offering extended hours depending on staffing. Since schedules vary, you’re encouraged to check your neighborhood pool or use the city’s Pool Finder app to stay up to date.
