Read Across America Day: Where to Toast Dr. Seuss around Philly

Celebrate the amazing children's author on his March 2 birthday, and beyond.

You and your kids have no doubt read countless Dr. Seuss books over the years. From his masterful wordplay to his whimsical creatures, he has inspired the imagination of children for eight decades. On March 2, we celebrate the birthday of this beloved children’s author as Read Across America Day, established by the National Education Association as an annual program to motivate kids to read and recognizes the role reading plays in development and community.

Whether you prefer the Cat in the Hat, Sam I Am, or the Lorax, here’s how to celebrate around town.
