Best Beginnings
Description
Best Beginnings is a wellness and yoga studio in Ardmore, nurturing mothers, babies and young families through every stage of their journey, from the first trimester through the fourth trimester and beyond.
Led by Dr. Rachel Canterino, a Doctor of Physical Therapy with over 25 years of experience in pediatrics, Best Beginnings offers expert guided classes, early developmental support and programming, alongside yoga designed specifically for pregnancy and postpartum bodies, including prenatal yoga, postnatal yoga, and mama & me yoga where you can bond with your baby while taking time for yourself.
Best Beginnings offers expert-led developmental playgroups for babies 6 weeks to 18 months. Each week brings a new theme with hands-on movement, toys, and books to support your baby’s milestones and enrich physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development. It’s easy to get lost and worried scrolling social media; Dr. Canterino brings real clinical expertise to every session, helping moms separate developmental facts from online fear and misinformation.
Beyond playgroups, Best Beginnings hosts specialist-led workshops covering real questions of early motherhood, newborn care, infant massage, feeding, sleep, maternal mental health, birth prep, pelvic floor recovery, and more. Whether preparing for birth or navigating life beyond, these sessions offer practical guidance, honest answers, and a strong community of moms.
Best Beginnings’ mission goes beyond yoga, it’s about nurturing physical and mental health of mothers, babies, and young families with real expertise, warm community, and classes that meet you exactly where you are.

I always look forward to attending Rachel’s beautiful studio. Her Yin yoga class is the best in the area, and I appreciate her knowledge as a physical therapist and yoga instructor.
