Center City Farmers Markets

Center City and the surrounding neighborhoods host many of Philly’s most beloved and long-running farmers markets. From the bustling streets alongside Rittenhouse Square to the historic Headhouse Square, these markets keep it fresh in the heart of the city.

Fairmount Farmers Market

22nd & Fairmount Avenue
Thursdays, 3–7 pm; year-round

Located in the heart of the Fairmount neighborhood is the Food Trust’s Fairmount Farmers Market. Take a walk around the historic Eastern State Penitentiary before stopping by the market to explore local and farm fresh goods. 

The Farmers Market at Christ Church

20 N. American Street 
Wednesdays, 3–6 pm, May 27–November

The Farmers Market at Christ Church is celebrating its 14th year of operation in 2026. Sponsored by the Old City District organization, a visit to this market celebrates community, local agriculture, and economic empowerment (and sits just one block away from Philly’s original farmers market from the 18th century). 

Fitler Square Farmers Market

23rd & Pine Street
Saturdays, 9 am–12 pm; year-round

Supported by the Food Trust, the Fitler Square Farmers Market has been providing the neighborhood with fresh goods since its opening in 2003. Featuring produce and garden goods, it’s a Saturday morning tradition for many in the area.

Headhouse Farmers Market

2nd & Lombard 
Sundays, 10 am–1 pm; year-round

A city staple since 2007, the Headhouse Farmers Market in Society Hill is run by The Food Trust group. The year-round market specializes in not only fruits and vegetables, but a strong selection of bread, soup, meats, beer and wine from a variety of vendors. 

Northern Liberties Farmers Market

1099 Germantown Avenue
Saturdays, 10 am–2 pm; year-round

The Northern Liberties Farmers Market isn’t just about selling great produce, it’s about community. Explore the walkable market and surrounding area while shopping for fruit, vegetables, and goods from dairy purveyors, chocolatiers and local breweries. 

Rittenhouse Farmers Market

Rittenhouse Square, 1800 Walnut Street
Saturdays, 9 am–2 pm and Tuesdays, 10 am–2 pm; year-round

Run by Farm to City, the Rittenhouse Farmers Market specializes in bringing fresh goods for all into Center City. Filling the streets alongside Rittenhouse Square, utilize this popular market to shop and explore.

Northeast Philly

Northeast Philly’s farmers markets are deeply rooted in the neighborhoods they serve, bringing fresh, affordable produce to local residents throughout the warmer months.

4th & Lehigh Farmers Market

4th & Lehigh Avenue
Tuesdays, 11 am–3 pm; July–October

Opening in the peak of summer, this Food Trust farmers market sits within Fairhill Square Park. Local residents make a point to visit this market on Tuesdays for their fresh produce and good needs. 

Castor & Hellerman Farmers Market

Castor Ave. & Hellerman Street
Tuesdays, 11 am–3 pm; spring through fall

The Castor & Hellerman farmers market was established in 2004 and is managed by the Food Trust. A neighborhood staple, this market partners with the nearby Oxford Circle Christian Community. 

Frankford Transportation Center Farmers Market

Bustleton & Frankford Avenues
Tuesdays, 2–6 pm; spring through fall

Managed by Root Mass Farm, the Frankford Transportation Center farmers market has been bringing farm fresh food to commuters since opening in 2011. Not only do commuters take advantage of the weekday market, plenty of locals visit, too. 

Strawberry Mansion Farmers Market

N. 33rd & West Dauphin
Wednesdays, 3–6:30 pm; June–October 

Managed by the Fair Amount Food Forest, the Strawberry Mansion Farmers Market specializes in offering farm fresh food at affordable prices. Launched just last year, it makes a Wednesday afternoon visit to East Fairmount Park even more enjoyable throughout the summer.

Northwest Philly

Some of Northwest Philly’s farmers markets — like Chestnut Hill — have been part of the neighborhood for more than two decades. Shop local, eat fresh, and get a taste of the warm community spirit in this part of the city.

Chestnut Hill Farmers Market

Germantown Avenue & Winston Lane
Saturdays, 9 am–12; year-round

For over 20 years, the Chestnut Hill farmers market has become a weekly staple for locals and visitors of the neighborhood. Managed by Evergreen Events, the market not only features produce, but sustainably raised meats and baked and artisan goods. 

East Falls Farmers Market

Saturdays, 10 am–1 pm; year-round

Supported by the East Falls Development Corporation, the East Falls farmers market offers not only great, fresh produce, but community. On top of fresh, wholesome groceries, residents can shop handmade products by local residents. 

Germantown Farmers Market

1600 E. Moyamensing Avenue
Bi-weekly Saturdays, 11 am–3 pm; year-round

Independently run, the Germantown Farmers Market brings fresh produce and goods to the Northern Philadelphia neighborhood. Open every-other Saturday; check their website for specific dates of operation. 

Pretzel Park Farmers Market

4300 Silverwood Street
Saturdays, 10 am–2 pm; May 2–December 12 (2026 season)

Organized by the Friends of Pretzel Park organization, the Pretzel Park farmers market brings farm-fresh goods and produce to the community of Manayunk. Visit their website to see their full list of 2026 vendors, including speciality items like BBQ rubs, donuts, pastries, and more.

South Philly

Dickinson Square Park Farmers Market

1600 E. Moyamensing Ave.
Sundays, 10 am–1 pm; spring through fall

Dickinson Square Park’s farmers market by Evergreen Events sits in the heart of South Philadelphia. In addition to bringing some farm fresh goods into your home, enjoy live music, family-friendly activities, and seasonal celebrations amid the energetic community atmosphere. 

East Passyunk Farmers Market

1430 Passyunk Avenue
Wednesdays, 2–6 pm; year-round

Bringing fresh food into the city for 20 years, the East Passyunk Farmers Market is one of Philly’s oldest fresh markets. Take the trip to South Philly for this market’s specialty selection of farm-fresh produce, meats, eggs, cheese, flowers and more. 

West Philly

West Philly’s farmers markets thrive as community hubs, serving neighborhoods like University City for almost two decades. Residents and visitors alike mingle with students from Penn and Drexel in a lively, outdoor community space.

52nd & Haverford Farmers Market

Haverford Avenue & N. Wilton Street
Wednesdays, 10 am–3 pm; July–October 

Found in the Haddington neighborhood of Philadelphia, this Food Trust farmers market has been offering fresh produce to the neighborhood since 2005. 

Clark Park Farmers Market

43rd Street & Chester Avenue
Saturdays, 10 am–2 pm, year-round

Supported by Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, the Food Trust’s Clark Park Farmers Market has been in operation since 1998. Visit the market to enjoy the shopping experience, as well as the vibrant community. 

University Square Farmers Market

36th & Walnut Street
Wednesdays, 9 am–5 pm; April–October 

Managed by Evergreen Events, the University Square Farmers Market delivers a “producer-only” market to Philly. Walkable from the 30th Street train station, stop by on a Wednesday to pick up fresh goods.
