“Casey and I started Expansion Speech Therapy because we saw a gap in clinical care. We wanted to bridge the gap in speech therapy services between home, school, and community. We wanted to not only support our patients but also their families. Once you are a part of Expansion, you are our family and a part of our village. We started with just the two of us and quickly grew. We now have 11 employees and 2 school contracts. We have a location in Fort Washington, PA but also provide services to Philadelphia. Casey thought of starting a scholarship fund for Expansion (rolling out in February 2026) for those who cannot afford private speech therapy services. She is always willing to go above and beyond for her patients, employees, and family. She will not stop!”

“I have been looking for a job since I graduated with my Master’s degree in Recreational Therapy in 2023. It was a frustrating process of repeatedly undergoing the discouraging routine of applying for jobs, all of which I was qualified for, getting the interview, and then seeing the look of realization on the interviewer’s face when they realized I was disabled, and knowing they weren’t going to hire me, just because of that. The services that I received from Erin Brown at My Advocacy have been life-changing for me. After 6 weeks of working with her on interviewing skills, my resume, and her helping me with job applications, I was hired. It was for a job as a mentor for high school students who are blind or visually impaired. I would never have thought to look for this job, let alone have known which of my skills or experiences to highlight, if not for Erin’s help. She truly sees the best in people and knows just how to turn their weaknesses into their greatest strengths.”

Founded by Khaliah Moody, a passionate entrepreneur, community advocate, and champion for children with developmental disabilities and their families, Steady Strides provides tailored, compassionate care and a holistic approach that integrates the family unit. Khaliah noticed the lack of structured activities for children with developmental disabilities, who were often left in front of electronics all day. To address this, she developed her own curriculum and materials, which ultimately inspired her to open Steady Strides.
