Twilight in the Gardens

This is your last chance of the year to enjoy the Magic Gardens in twinkling evening light as part of their Twilight in the Gardens series. This month’s event will include a performance by the local Philly minimalist folk musician justmadnice, and a lantern craft led by educators from the Museum of the American Revolution. You’ll also have a chance to explore the PMG basement and view their current exhibition.

The Fabric Workshop and Museum recently is hosting an interactive workshop to celebrate their new exhibition “Rose B. Simpson: In the Dream House.” The founders of Dope Botanicals, a local apothecary, will teach participants about tea preparation and plant-based remedies during this relaxing evening which will also feature a print-making lesson.

 

Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival

November 3-13

Asian Arts Initiative, 1219 Vine Street 

 

The Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival will be screening films and hosting performances and Q&As celebrating Asian and Pacific Islander stories. With in-person events occurring throughout the two weeks, you’ll be sure to find something to fit even into a busy schedule. There will also be livestream events if you would rather enjoy a cozy date night at home. 

 

Stag & Doe Nights 

Wednesdays from November 30 – December 21 

 

The neighborhood of Chestnut Hill will have extended store hours, holiday specials, complimentary refreshments, and even brass quartet performances every Wednesday night from Thanksgiving to Christmas along Germantown Avenue. Get a little holiday shopping in while on your date!

This independent bookstore and publisher in North Philly offers book lovers a dream date: the chance to privately browse their store for one and a half to two hours and enjoy dinner and a drink. 

 

East Falls Glassworks

For a more adventurous date, book a private lesson at East Falls Glassworks, where you and your partner will be paired with a professional glassblower to get a tour of the studio, learn about basic glassblowing techniques, and have a chance to make your own creations. 

 

Longwood Gardens
