At Norwood-Fontbonne Academy, a Catholic, independent academy for preschool - eighth grade students in historic Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, children from a diverse and inclusive community of families come together for an independent school experience like no other. 

Inspired by the mission of the Sisters of Saint Joseph that "all may be one," NFA students cultivate unity with God, their "dear neighbor," the school, and each other.

NFA empowers students through a self-directed approach to learning that permeates our classrooms. Students own their education and explore their potential as they're challenged to shape a more compassionate and socially responsible society. NFA offers a Montessori academic path and a Primary academic path for students age 3 - 3rd grade. The two paths seamlessly merge in fourth grade.

Throughout the school year, NFA’s Admissions Team hosts a number of Open Houses and Montessori Mornings. Open Houses give parents the chance to see the whole campus and connect with faculty and parent ambassadors while Montessori Mornings are solely focused on NFA’s Montessori Programs.
